Diverse legal services tailored to your needs.
Hi, I’m Meg Prestidge. I’ve been practicing law since 2003. I started working in the oil and gas industry, and for several years I worked for several large independent oil and gas companies. I worked my last place of employment, I was vice president of a small independent oil and gas company. In 2006, I decided that I needed to open my own practice, and therefore I literally hung my shingle out and started contacting people that I knew. By the end of 2006, I had hired my first of counsel to help me with the preparations of oil and gas title opinions.
And then in 2011, I opened my own office and added other attorneys, and all we did was oil and gas title opinions. Of course, that was pretty narrow-minded on my part, because in the oil and gas industry, it just took a screeching halt, and I found myself trying to decide what other elements to my practice I could add, and so I started doing probates and estate planning, and have thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of my practice, anything to do with real estate, quiet titles, things like that.
Experience in Real Estate and Estate Planning
So I have extensive background in real estate, and it lends well to things like quiet titles, because that generally is your titling interest in property. Probate is most generally, you’re probating minerals or leasehold or real estate of all kinds. So I really enjoy this part of my practice. I look forward to meeting new people and helping them solve their problems, because it’s such a difficult time when people lose a loved one. It can be contentious, it can be sad and it’s often a very overwhelming experience for those who unexpectedly lose a loved one, even those who know that they’re fixing to lose a loved one.
